Once it started it never stopped till the end. I really enjoyed the mention of all the local descriptions and references. It really brings it home. Everything you would want from a trip across the border and back: the fun, the fear, the situations, all realistic and very believable. Being from Texas and making my own trips to Nuevo Laredo and Juarez, this book brings back good and bad memories! Good to see an author take a ride on 'the dark side' and bring this story to life! Couldn't wait to finish the book the next day. Absolutely outstanding. A must read for anyone that has ventured south of the border. The storyline kept you guessing what was going to happen. There were a couple of times that I thought I knew what was going to happen and it went in a different direction (although I did figure out Danny Rubino :) I am impressed with all of the research that was done to be able to create believable situations. It's a good thing I didn't have anything to do today because as I got to the end, I couldn't put it down. I couldn't wait to get to the end to see if they made it home or not.
