About the Author

Accomplished author and screenplay writer Mark Fiorito debuted his first novel, THE RUN, in fall 2009.  THE RUN blends a unique perspective on Mexico, border town drug-related violence, American family dynamics and action-oriented suspense.

His second novel, KISS OF THE MARLIN was published in the fall of 2011. The backdrop is the enchanting seacoast town of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. It’s a romantic fantasy that blends human desire with a sense of wonderment where secret wishes can come true.

Prior to his latest work, Mr. Fiorito created several original screenplays, a collection of poetry and has served as an Executive Producer.  His screenplays include:

As Executive Producer of the one-man show “Who’s Floyd Stearn?” starring Michael Raynor, Mr. Fiorito helped premier the play at the Tamarind Theater in Hollywood, CA and then brought it to San Diego, CA.

Michael’s subsequent production later ran off Broadway at the Ensemble Studio Theatre in New York City and at the Edinburgh Theater Festival in Scotland.

Mr. Fiorito’s unique background includes working in the film industry in Hollywood, project fundraising and location scouts throughout the U.S. and Mexico.

Born in Newark, NJ, Mr. Fiorito and his wife Joan now divide their time between their homes in San Diego, CA and Louisville, KY.  During their downtime, the couple enjoys thoroughbred horseracing, traveling and spending time with friends and family.
